MLK Jr. Unity Day Celebration

Description:
The northeast Missouri Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration, “E Pluribus Unum” which is Latin for “Out of Many, One”, and fundraiser for Take Root Cafe will celebrate the civil rights and social justice legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. The 3 hour event will include multicultural arts and crafts for children and families, an arts for social justice theater performance, music, a “health, peace, and unity” family yoga session, and displays and posters related to our theme. The fundraiser will include a silent auction, personal donations, and a bake sale.

Live Performances and Group Activities on Third Floor:
1:00 PM. Welcome and Civil Rights Music.
1:30 PM. Children’s Yoga (30-45 minutes) w/Tarasa
2:30 PM. Adult Yoga (30-45 minutes) w/Amanda
3:30 PM. Family Social Justice Play (30-45 minutes).
