Description:
The illusion of movement created from seemingly static objects is an element I am constantly striving to achieve in my work. Like the microscopic shifts in our human bodies to the cosmic movement of a galaxy, the parts of the whole are always in motion and that is what much of this body of artwork is focused around. Light and shadow and how those elements play off the colors, textures, and shapes within the finished piece are also part of my process. The artwork in this collection are my interpretations of color and composition of the natural world around me—some fantastic, and some grounded. These pieces connect something in my mind to the fascinating universe around us.
