Bicycle- Friendly Drive Course and Ride of Silence

Description:
Starting at 11 AM at the Ute Pass Cultural Center, Bicycle Colorado will co host Bicycle-Friendly Drive Course. From 11 AM until 12:30 PM. This is for motorists and cyclists. Then at 1 PM Mountain Top Cycling Club will do a short slow paced ride, with no talking on a short four mile loop in observance of the Ride of Silence. (Those cyclists that have been injured or killed while riding their bikes.)

Details:
This is a free event and open to the public. We will have coffee, doughnuts and quiche from Joanie's deli. This event is hosted by Bicycle Colorado. The coarse covers: Laws for bicyclists and motorists. How to navigate on-street bicycle infrastructure. Common crashes between motorists and bicyclists and how to avoid them. You need to sign up at http://bit.ly/woodlandparkBFD 
Participants will receive a certificate and sticker to show they are cyclists friendly. 
At 1 PM there will be a short four mile loop ridden with a police escort in honor of the Ride of Silence. A rider to honor cyclists that have been injured or killed while riding their bikes.
