Working with Prismacolors Workshop

Learn how to use colored pencils to create art or how to take your existing skills and colored pencil drawings to the next level. Nancy Jacey will lead a two day workshop that will walk you through using fine art colored pencils to create stunning works of art like the event photo. This workshop will explore Nancy’s drawing methods and colored penciled techniques in order to create vivid, colorful pieces of art. Saturday, we will be sketching on illustration board with graphite pencil and sharpies as the first process of creating the work from a reference photo. We will then begin to layer in Prismacolor on our subject matter. Sunday, we will focus on finalizing work on the subject matter and working on the background elements.

All skill levels are welcome

WORKSHOP SUPPLY LIST – Students need to bring the following materials:
– Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils 72 set or larger
– Pencil Sharpener, eraser and HB pencil
– Ruler
– Duster Brush
– Ultra Fine Point assorted colored sharpies
*Cold pressed illustration board and reference image will be provided
