Description:
July 22 - 26. The University of Iowa Wildlife Camps is coming to Prairie Rose State Park this summer. Wildlife Camps will offer a mixture of conservation education and adventure recreation.

For students entering 3rd - 7th grade. Spots are limited.

Details:
Activities include:
  • Studying wildlife of Prairie Rose State Park, including mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, fish, and insects.
  • Exploring the woodlands, wetlands, and prairies and other natural habitats of Prairie Rose State Park.
  • Learning about park history and their unique geological and archeological features.
  • Engaging with the outdoors through recreational activities like hiking, canoeing, and kayaking.
Cost is $100 - fee has been reduced from $150 thanks to an Iowa DNR REAP Conservation Education Program grant.
