Vesterheim's Barnetimen (Children's Hour) To Set Sail on a New Season
— Preschoolers and their caregivers are invited to Vesterheim, the national Norwegian-American museum and heritage center, for the start of a new season of Barnetimen (Children’s Hour) on Tuesday, September 17, from 10-11 a.m.
Meet in the museum at 520 W. Water St. to explore objects and exhibits, and then make art inspired by the museum visit. A snack is also provided.
Inspired by Vesterheim's big boat, the TradeWind, participants in this month's program will make their own boats and test them to see if they float.
The program is free, thanks to sponsors David and Brenda Carlson, Greg and Karen Bruening, Amy and Keith Bruening, and Norwegian Mutual Insurance Association.
Barnetimen meets at Vesterheim Museum the third Tuesday of each month, September-April. The program is geared toward 3-5 year olds, but all ages are welcome. No sign-up is necessary—come to one session or all of them
