Description:
NEMO Connect, Inc. will host the 7th Annual NEMO Community Connect Event (Previously Project Homeless Connect - PHC) event in Kirksville.  

NEMO Connect, Inc. is a 501(C)3 not-for-profit organization, dedicated to connecting families at risk of homelessness to community resources.  The event will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019, at The Moose Lodge, 2405 E Illinois St., from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

Anyone in the area who is homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless, is welcome and encouraged to attend a free, one-day event to connect with and receive free services and social assistance.  The goal of NEMO Connect, Inc. is to reduce barriers and improve access to services and housing, as well as assist anyone in need.  During the event, individuals and families will have access to free services such as:  medical and dental screenings, haircuts, a free lunch, housing assistance, identification assistance, food kits, hygiene products, ear cleanings, access to employment and social services, documentation assistance, and much more.  Kirk-Tran will be providing a free ride day in conjunction with NEMO Community Connect, and the event location will be added to the stops that day. 

Participants should bring any proof of identification they may have, such as a Photo ID and/or 2 pieces of mail with the same address.  A free Kid’s Zone with certified staff will be available to those in attendance during the event.
