Mosaic Tile Making Project

Mosaic Tile-Making Project for the Sue Ross Arts Center.  Pieces of the original mosaic mural were saved after the Kirksville Arts Center fire in December, 2016 but more tile is needed to "raise the mural from the ashes".

Schools and community members will again be part of the public art project.  Tile making for community members and organizations will be held at the Kirksville Arts Gallery located at 1902 S. Baltimore St. , Suite 100.  The first session will begin on January 27 and continue through January 31 from 9 to noon each day with an evening session on Tuesday, January 28 from 5-7 p.m.  A second session will be offered beginning on February 3 and continue through February 7, from 1-4 p.m. each day, with an evening session on Thursday, February 6 from 5-7 p.m.. at the Gallery.

Community members and organizations need to call 665-0500 or email kvarts.director@gmail.com to reserve a tile making spot. Materials will be provided and there is no charge.
