Youth Volunteer Corps - Volunteering at Adair County SB 40 Community

Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC) will be joining Adair County SB40 to achieve their mission to develop comprehensive person-centered support plans which outline steps and access resources necessary to achieve each person's own unique life goals in their surrounding counties.

YVC projects engage teams of 8-10 youth ages 11-18 who volunteer their time to help local nonprofits and learn more about real issues in their communities. A trained and screened adult staff member supervises youth, leads them in icebreakers and team building activities, and facilitates meaningful reflection.

• YVC projects are open to all youth ages 11-18.
• Youth volunteers will need to bring their own lunch each day.
• Transportation to and from the project will not be provided.

This summer, YVC projects in Kirksville will cost $33/participant. Scholarships are available; see website for more information.
