Additionally, during that same time, Learfield IMG College also contracted John to travel the country for the purpose of training GMs at over 50 Division One college sports properties. His charge was to show them how to generate partnership revenue and run their sports operations.
Prior to going out on his own, John had a 25-year, storybook career at Anheuser-Busch. He served as an executive in the beer and theme park divisions, plus supported Eagle Snack’s, the St. Louis Baseball Cardinals, and the International division’s media planning efforts. He retired from A-B as a Corporate Vice President in charge of National Partnerships, Promotions, Licensing, and Entertainment Marketing for the SeaWorld and Busch Gardens amusement parks.
John has three grown children and resides in Wildwood, MO. with his wife, Carol, along with their black lab, named Sophie. He continues to support the partnership initiatives of many area companies as well as teaching Sports Marketing, Promotions, and Partnership Sales to students at Maryville University.
