Details:
Children join Mrs. Oi, a credentialed teacher with a master's degree in education. Children experience literacy, art, music and movement in nature - where the best learning and healing take place. Many children are sadly deprived of time outside - where all five senses may be used to increase learning as well as stabilizing our emotions. This is a child-inspired experience, but led by the teacher. There are plans guided by nature experts such as Richard Louv and Joseph Cornell, with adaptations made that suit the weather, the children's sense of wonder, and the environment. Classes are held at local parks, where children can see some small critters and often a body of water. When there are art projects, supplies will be provided.
