Veronica Arzate is the beWellnm Program Director at the Hispano Chamber of Commerce in Albuquerque, NM. She oversees the statewide outreach activities related to beWellnm, the Health Insurance Exchange for New Mexicans. Veronica is an experienced multi-lingual, relationship management professional with demonstrated success achieving rigorous goals in support of corporate as well as Federal and State initiatives. Veronica has led statewide campaigns facilitating outreach and education in the fields of access to healthcare, and federal programs, such as the 2020 Census campaign. She works with elected officials, government, business, and the non-profit sectors to promote the program’s engagement. Veronica’s work has included regional collaborations with neighboring states.
Veronica is an immigrant from Mexico who came the USA right after high school. She is an UNM alumnus and enjoys spending time with her two young children in her free time. In the winter months you will find them skiing the mountains of New Mexico, and when the weather gets warm, they enjoy tennis, biking, and attending her son’s soccer games.
