Welcome to the New Mexico Cancer Center (NMCC), a beacon of hope and healing in the heart of Albuquerque. Established in 1987 by the visionary collaboration of Dr. Clark Haskins and Dr. Barbara McAneny, NMCC stands as a testament to unwavering commitment and compassion in the face of cancer.
NMCC is an independent, multi-disciplinary, and multi-site practice operated by New Mexico Oncology Hematology Consultants Ltd. From its inception, our practice has been driven by the singular mission of providing the highest quality, most compassionate, comprehensive, and patient-centered cancer care in New Mexico. Patient needs have always been at the forefront of our dedication.
Over the past fifteen years, NMCC has blossomed into a statewide presence, with its flagship comprehensive cancer center situated in the heart of Albuquerque, just north of Paseo del Norte and west of I-25. This state-of-the-art facility spans over 82,000 square feet, offering a seamless integration of medical and radiation oncology, chemotherapy infusion, radiation therapy, imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy services under one roof.
In our commitment to accessibility, we understand the challenges faced by patients in rural areas of New Mexico. Recognizing the importance of reaching every corner of the state, NMCC endeavors to bridge the gap in healthcare access. Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that every effort must be made to bring superior cancer care to patients living at significant distances from major centers.
As part of this commitment, NMCC proudly opened a second comprehensive cancer care facility in Gallup, NM. This strategic move not only marked our expansion but also brought cancer care to western New Mexico and the Navajo Nation. By doing so, we have alleviated the burden on patients who once faced arduous and costly travels, ensuring that they now receive the complete and adequate care they deserve.
At NMCC, our centers are equipped to provide a full spectrum of onsite oncology care, including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, imaging, laboratory, and rheumatology services. In Albuquerque, we are pleased to extend the convenience of a dispensing pharmacy, further enhancing the holistic care experience for our patients.
