About Us
Vision loss often leads to feelings of isolation and depression. Many people experiencing vision loss don’t realize that there are coping strategies and specialized equipment – from very simple, low tech items such as large print material, bold lined paper, specialized writing pens, basic magnifiers, talking clocks and watches; on up to high tech equipment like digital magnifiers and CCTV’s - that enable people to continue doing the things they love. DAC’s Senior Vision Resources Program can provide these resources based on need and availability.
The ability to see clearly is important, yet we are not able to control our vision. As our vision diminishes, many of us think we can no longer be independent. We also offer peer and emotional support to visually impaired individuals and their families through support groups and educational workshops. Do not let your vision loss keep you from doing what you love! Call DAC today!
