Are you new in the Community?
Are you a new resident or business in the community??
We would like to Welcome you with a personal visit, information and a gift.
We would also like to invite you to join our Newcomer's Group!
If your Organization, Club, Agency or city has an event that you would like in
the Minnewaska Visitor Guide for 2020 those events need to be
submitted to Kay or to the PC Tribune by Thursday, January 9th.
We will submit all dates we receive, however the Pope County Tribune
makes the final decision on what will be published in the calendar of events in the guide.

NEWCOMERS HAPPY HOUR
Thursday, January 23rd
Join us on Thursday, January 23 at 5:00 p.m. for Happy Hour at Hatchery Bar & Grill, 406 Florence Avenue in Lowry. Hope you can make it!.
Pickleball
Pickleball will be available to play indoors on Sundays through May 3, 2020 in the Auxiliary gym at Minnewaska High School from 12:30-2:30 p.m. You may use the schools nets, paddles and balls.
For more information call 320-239-1305 for directions to the gym, and punch card payment. There will be no cash payment available.
Did you sign up for a Special Interest Group?? Are you interested in being a Group Starter?
We need some Group Starters for the Glenwood Lakes Area Newcomers Specific Interest Groups. Group starters will get the specific group together for the first time. Emails and phone numbers will be given to the Group Starter. All you have to do is plan the date, time and place for that first get together. Then as a group you will plan when you want to meet again.

LAKESIDE DANCE CLUB INVITES NEWCOMERS - Sunday, January 19th.
The Lakeside Dance Club invites you to join them on Sunday, January 19th for an evening of music and dancing at the Lakeside Ballroom! from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Dance lessons start at 2:00 p.m.
Music by Velvet Brass.
Newcomers are provided a special discount. $10 per couple. Tickets are available from Kay at the
Glenwood Lakes Area Welcome Center.

Car Care Program will host the January Rise and Shine at the Glenwood Chamber and Welcome Center. Come and meet staff and learn more about this organization!
Bring a friend, meet and socialize with others, and enjoy a light breakfast.
Remember your business card for the business card door prize drawing.

7:10 p.m.
Children 6 & under are free
Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to purchase tickets.
Tickets are available only at the Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber & Welcome Center and must be purchased and picked up prior to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31st.

Glenwood Day at Andes Tower Hills
This year, we have the following discounted tickets to offer (while supplies last):
- Tubing Ticket (2 Hour Pass): $20
- Lift Ticket: $25
- Lift Ticket and Regular Ski Rental: $30
- Lift Ticket and Snowboard Rental: $40
These tickets can ONLY be purchased through Friday, February 14, 2020 until 4:00 p.m. at the Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber & Welcome Center and are NOT available on site at Andes Tower Hills!
**Make up date will be Saturday, February 22nd if closed due to weather.

Pope County Mobile
Food Drop
The next Mobile Food Drop will be held on Tuesday, February 11, at Glenwood United Parish, 10 17th Ave NW, Glenwood. Registration is at 11 a.m. and food distribution is from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Please bring boxes to carry your food.
The Mobile Food Drop is a monthly food distribution event. Anyone who eats and lives in Pope County is able to utilize this program.
This monthly event is made possible by the United Way of Pope and Douglas Counties.
