News From the Almanor Basin Community Consortium
The next meeting of the Almanor Basin Community Consortium (ABCC) takes place on Thursday, April 16, 4 - 6 pm at the Almanor Recreation Center 260 Meadowbrook Loop, Chester. Below are notes from 3 sector meetings.
Non-Profit Sector Met on February 6
Leaders of the areas service/non-profit organizations met at the Chamber office to discuss shared issues and brainstorm solutions. These are notes from that meeting.
Hospitality Industry Met on February 12
Restaurant and Lodging industry leaders met to discuss shared issues and brainstorm solutions and common goals.
Education Forum, February 25
Leaders of the community met with our Public Education sector to discuss issues and challenges with parental involvement, communication, socio-emotional issues of students, and funding and declining population.
