Voting for Businesses that have entered the Lighting Contest is open! Votes for the People's Choice Award in the Business Category can be submitted until the end of the day on Wednesday, December 16th. Businesses that have registered for the contest are: Glenwood State Bank, Eagle Bank, Glacial Ridge Eye Clinic and Minnesota Olive Oil Company.
You can write down your top 3 choices and leave your vote in our drop box near the front door of the office, or vote online.
Magical Christmas In Glenwood Coloring Contest for Children 0-12
Children up to 12 years old are welcome to participate in the "Magical Christmas in Glenwood" Coloring Contest. Coloring sheets are available at the Glenwood Welcome Center and Chamber office, or you can print off your own copy (click on pictures).
The pictures will be judged by age. The pictures left to Right - Baby in Manger (0-4); Mary & Joseph Standing (5-8) and Mary (kneeling) & Joseph (9-12).
Please color picture for your age bracket only. Place child's name, age and a telephone number on the backside. Completed pictures can be dropped off at our office, or placed in the drop box by the front door, or can be mailed. The deadline is Thursday, December 17th at 7:00 p.m.
Prizes (Minnewaska Dollars) - 1st - $20.00; 2nd - $15.00, 3rd - $10.00.
Magical Christmas Dollars & Minnewaska Dollars
2020 Magical Dollars participants are: Ace of Glenwood, Minnesota Olive Oil Company, Minnewaska Meats, Northern Prints Co., Screen Prints Plus and Trumm Drug.
Minnewaska Dollars is another way the Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber and Welcome Center promotes “Keep it Local.” Community members are able to use them anywhere in town and Minnewaska Dollars offers $5.00, $10.00, and $20.00 amounts. They would make great gifts for the holiday season.

As Minnesotans plan holiday celebrations, it is important to think about how your plans may affect the spread of COVID-19. Consider the current level of COVID-19 infection in your community to decide whether to postpone or cancel holiday gatherings or to limit the number of guests. The Minnesota Department of Health has more information regarding this, and more on their website. Click the link below to view.
Pope County Mobile Food Drop The next Mobile Food Drop will be held on Tuesday, January 12th at Glenwood United Parish, 10 17th Ave NW, Glenwood.
Registration will be online or over the phone. Please call 320-834-7800.
Distribution times will be later in the day to allow for pre-packing the groceries
Participants will load their groceries that have been pre-packed, and drive away.
The Mobile Food Drop is a monthly food distribution event. Anyone who eats and lives in Pope County is able to utilize this program.
This monthly event is made possible by the United Way of Pope and Douglas Counties. The Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign
We need your help to "Rescue Christmas" this year! Volunteer with the Red Kettle Campaign to raise funds for people in Pope County that are in a crisis situation.
