WCEDA will be co-hosting a Workforce Housing Summit on Monday, September 25. The event will take up most of the morning and will feature state experts on housing, developers working in this space, municipal leaders, legislators, and resource partners. The lack of workforce housing is holding back our economic growth and it's impacting our school districts. This summit will explore ways that Walworth County can collaborate with public/private stakeholders to make market rate housing more affordable for our workforce.

Public Comment Period Open for Substantial Amendment #2 to PY 2021 Annual Action Plan
The Division of Energy, Housing, and Community Resources (DEHCR/Division) posted a draft Substantial Amendment #2 to Program Year 2021 Annual Action Plan to the State’s 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan to its website. The Public Comment Period is now open through September 17, 2023. The Substantial Amendment makes technical changes to the current HUD-approved Plan which the State utilizes to administer additional HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds appropriated to the State under the American Rescue Plan Act, 2021.
