THANK YOU to the following Chamber Members who renewed their memberships in September:

Flanigan-Leavitt Insurance Agency

Gold Pan Lodge

Quincy Rotary Club

What are we up to?

  • We had our board meeting at Patti's Thunder this morning.  The food was delish and the service was excellent as always!  Thanks to Lexi, Mike and Gabby for keeping the coffee coming!
  • The flower baskets are coming down on Saturday to be taken back to Standish for storage and re-planting for next spring.  Shout out to the volunteers for making this happen each season!
  • We're working hard on Safe Trick-or-Treat!  Deadline for businesses to be included on the map is next Friday, October 20th.
  • Sparkle planning has begun and we need entertainers!  Know anyone who can sing, dance, or perform in public?  Have them give us a call or email us at info@quincychamber.com.
  • Groundhog Fever Festival is coming soon!

Regarding Safe Trick-or-Treat...

We are still in need of some adult volunteers to help the QHS S Club with traffic control.  Call (530) 394-0541 or email us at info@quincychamber.com if you're interested in helping keep this important family event safe for all our kids!

If your business is planning on handing out candy, hosting a haunted house, or anything else during Safe Trick-or-Treat and you want to be included on our free map, give us a call or email us by Friday, October 20th!

Speaking of Mugshot Mondays...

We still have a few spots left to fill for our Mugshot Mondays!

Simply send us a photo of you (you can include your team, coworkers, friends, family, pets, whomever) at your business with a mug of your choice.  Also send us a brief blurb about you and/or your business.  Here are a few ideas: When did you start your business?  How long have you lived here?  What is your favorite thing about living in Plumas County?  Tell us a brief story, your favorite joke (keep it clean!), or a motto you live by.  Make it fun and make it interesting!

Want to participate but need help?  Give us a call at (530) 394-0541 or email us at info@quincychamber.com and we'd be happy to take the photo for you or share some other ideas!

What Comes Before Sparkle?

Black Friday of course!  If your store plans on being open for Black Friday and/or Small Business Saturday, email us at info@quincychamber.com with your store name and business hours so we can include you on on our free Black Friday handout.  Images below are from last year as reference.

This handout is published on our social media pages, website and can be printed.

Deadline for the flyer is Friday, November 17th.  Inclusion is free and you do not need to be a Chamber member.

And Now for Sparkle...

Thanks to our generous sponsors and a grant from the Feather River Tourism Association, we are able to market Sparkle bigger, better and further than ever before!  Look for our advertising on The Plumas Sun, in Mountain Valley Living Magazine and in Edible Reno's digital edition.

And WHOA!!!!  If you haven't checked out our website lately, take a look at https://www.quincychamber.com/sparkle!  We have the entertainment schedule, links to local lodging providers, links to local dining establishments and links to local places for entertainment and shopping! One stop to plan your trip to Quincy for Sparkle?  How great is that!  See something that should be changed or have suggestions on how we can make it better?  Give us a call or email us at info@quinychamber.com.  The links on this page are ONLY to Chamber member businesses.
