What are we up to?

Thanks to JDX for having us on the air last Thursday for the morning show with Chris and Andrea and last Friday with Aaron and Amanda!

Tune in monthly as we give an update on local Chamber member events!

Thanks to Mark Pecotich and the Chamber Coalition for hosting last week's meeting with guest speakers Sheriff Todd Johns and Undersheriff Chad Hermann.

Sheriff Johns gave us an overview of Measure A and the impact the funding will have on not just the Sheriff's Office, but all emergency departments in Plumas County.

Plumas Arts invited us to a fantastic meeting between several event producers within the Quincy area in an effort to collaborate and inform of upcoming plans.

There were lots of people there including folks from the West End Theatre, Rich Bar Taproom, Adventure Monkeys, The Drunk Brush, Plumas Arts, Feather River Land Trust, Plumas Healthcare Foundation, The Plumas Sun, Lost Sierra Food Project, Wild Pines, the Feather River Tourism Association, and more.

We're planning to meet again in late February.  Stay tuned!

We've added two new events to the Groundhog Fever Festival this year.

Promoting Plumas County

Feather River Tourism Association launched a successful advertising campaign in 2022, continued through 2023 and now into 2024 since visibility is gaining traction and credibility to the county. With strong messaging, Destination Plumas County, FRTA continues to build the

Plumas County brand.

Plumas County was in five segments of Channel 10, John Bartell’s Backroads featuring hunting for the perfect Christmas Tree.

https://www.abc10.com/bartells-backroads.

The county was also mentioned in the San Francisco Chronicle for our spectacular fall colors. The newest advertising campaign will continue with Destination Plumas County with one ad featuring the Chester Park

Ice Skating Rink in Sierra Rec on-line magazine, snowmobling (if we get snow) in both print/on-

line Nor-Cal and our hopefully “snow much fun” in local Mountain Valley Living.

“FRTA continues to promote the county in key publications with strong ads that we feel sets us apart from other mountain vacation communities. We also submit timely press releases of events to regional newspapers and magazines such as Edible Reno, which will feature this month Sincere Cider and profiled Elegant Farmer, Timberhosue Restaurant and Sandpiper in fall

issue” says Sharon Roberts, owner of St. Bernards lodge and chair of FRTA.

BAC in Stock at Quintopia

We just got a shipment of BAC (big a** cans) so why not throw down a $8 special on our 32oz crowler fills?!

This week only folks - when you make a food purchase - save $4 on these filled to order to-go vessels of luscious local libation. Make an offering to the snow/sun deities (depending on your leanings). Come down in your pajamas even. We’ve seen it all. January is here.

  • Subway is hiring!  Drop off your application in person at 23 Crescent Street in Quincy.
  • Looking for something else?  Visit the Alliance for Workforce Development for more listings.
