Flower Basket Project Update

Our fundraising efforts continue for this year's flower basket drive.

We've received $4,285 so far, but we need at least $10,000 for the full season (mid-May to mid-October).

The funds pay for the fully planted baskets to be picked up from Country Gardens in Standish, hung throughout town, watered every other day by a paid employee, and then taken back to Standish to be re-planted for next year.

If you haven't donated yet, please consider doing so!

Donation forms are on our website at https://www.quincychamber.com/flower-baskets.

Payment and forms can be dropped off at Plumas Arts or The Toy Store.

Thank you for helping beautify our town!

Recovering from Identity Theft

Phishing and smishing are types of online scam that targets you by sending you an e-mail (phishing) or text (smishing) that appears to be from a well-known source – an internet service provider, a bank, or a mortgage company, for example.

It asks you to provide personal identifying information. Then a scammer uses the information to open new accounts or invades your existing accounts.

There are several tips that you can follow to avoid phishing or smishing scams, such as not responding to texts, e-mails or phone messages that ask for personal or financial information.

Remember, Plumas Bank will never contact you via text, email or phone to ask you for your account numbers or passwords.

If you suspect you may be a victim of ID theft, please visit ftc.gov or contact us at 1.888.375.8627. https://www.identitytheft.gov/
