We have open spots for additional board members! Interested? Contact us and come to a meeting!
This weekend we had a full operation taking down the flower baskets until next year. We wanted to thank Derek Jensen and the Feather River College Basketball team, Logan Haesche, Matt Haesche, John Kolb and Bruce Walker for all their assistance in helping make this a successful and easy process! Thank you to all in our community who participated in the Flower Basket Project this year and to all of our plaque donors. Without you, none of this would be possible!
Safe Trick-or-Treat is happening on October 31st! NEXT THURSDAY! Shoutout to Grocery Outlet for sponsoring it again this year! We are also doing our Treasure Map again this year! If your business wants to be featured on the map, downtown or outside the downtown corridor, please contact us at membership@quincychamber.com or by calling 530-394-0541. Deadline is TOMORROW.
Further down the road: Black Friday/Small Business Saturday (November 29th and 30th) and Sparkle (December 6th). We will be doing our shopping flyers again this year, so let us know what your business hours will be, and if you'll have any specials or sales happening.
Save the Date! Sparkle will be happening December 6th! Keep a look out for marketing materials and ways your business can be involved! |

Plumas County Tourism attends LA Media Reception
Plumas County Tourism was represented at the Visit California Media Reception on October 10 at the Clipper’s Intuit Arena with 87 representatives from the media present to hear the stories of destinations
throughout California. Plumas County was one of 47 counties represented. “This was another great event hosted by Visit California with a variety of types of media. Again, many
were not aware of Plumas County and where we are located yet excited to have a new place to visit and write about,” says Katherine Sansone, marketing director of PCT. Those who stopped by to visit received
a press kit, a set of picturesque postcards and our famous Plumas Knots donated by Carey Candy Co. Some of the media that were interested was KABC TV, Orange County Register, Bicyclist Magazine,
Pasadena Now, several mommy magazines including LA Parent looking for family friendly places to go, LA Times, VIA, Foodbeast just to name a few. All were very impressed that we still have wide open spaces
for biking/hiking, no traffic and starlit skies – an anomaly in LA as well. PBS’s ‘Viewpoint,’ hosted by Dennis Quaid featuring Plumas County was a result of attending the San
Francisco media reception this spring. “Cultivating the media takes time but between events like this, releases and advertising, Plumas County is getting recognized as a wonderful destination in California,
Sansone explains. She adds that a feature by PBs is quite a “feather” in our cap!
