SPARKLE WAS A HIT!

Thank you to the community for showing up and showing out to our BIGGEST SPARKLE YET! Without you, none of this would be possible. Special thanks to our performers, parade entries, vendors, S Club volunteers, additional volunteers, and all the local businesses that stayed open to make it a night to remember!

Another special thanks to our Emcees of the night:

David Kitchens and Wayne Bauer! Your enthusiasm, excitement, and support made the crowd excited and involved! Thank you for your spirit and charisma!

"Thank you, Quincy Community, for your unwavering support and spirit. I have never attended Sparkle before yet to be the one planning it is a bit nerve wracking to say the least. However, it never ceases to amaze me to see this community show up and support each other with such a beautiful, welcoming spirit. This town is oh so special. I am so thankful to be here and be a part of it. I can't wait to work more with all of you and sustain and grow the potential of Quincy."

-Administrative Director, Brianna Swofford

CPUC Reminds Consumers of the New 837 Area Code Coming to the 530 Region

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) reminds Californians that the new 837 area code will be added as an overlay to the 530 area code region starting January 31, 2025.

Starting on January 31, 2025, customers in the 530 area code region may be assigned a number in the new 837 area code when they request new service or an additional line. Customers receiving an 837 area code will be required to dial 1 + the area code and phone number for all local calls, just as customers with telephone numbers from the 530 area code do today.

For more information, please contact your telephone service provider or visit the CPUC’s website: www.cpuc.ca.gov/530areacode
