The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is excited to invite business owners and other stakeholders to three (3) stakeholder engagement sessions to provide opportunities to help Caltrans improve its procurement policies and its inclusion of person of color (POC)- and woman-owned businesses in its Federal Transit Authority (FTA)-funded contracting and procurement.
Caltrans has retained BBC Research & Consulting (BBC) to conduct a disparity study to assess outcomes for POC- and woman-owned businesses in Caltrans' FTA-funded contracting and procurement. Caltrans invites you to participate in one of three (3) stakeholder engagement sessions where you will be able to learn more about the study and tell us about your experiences doing business in California, which will be integrated into the study. BBC is seeking insights related to:
Perceptions about and experiences with doing business in California and working with public agencies;
Any barriers or difficulties competing for Caltrans' FTA-funded contracts or procurements; and
Any discrimination or other barriers in the California marketplace.
The meetings will be hosted online via Zoom on February 18, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and February 25, 2025 at 11:30 a.m., so mark your calendars!
