Established in 2010, Carlson Dock & Barge has been serving the Alexandria lakes area and expanded to the Glenwood area in 2024. They are a year-round sales and service provider for all lakeshore needs, offering a variety of docks, lifts, weed control solutions, and more. Their new showroom is located at 20885 State Highway 55, Glenwood, MN 56334. Join them for their open house on March 28 & 29! The Pope County Community Expo is just around the corner, happening Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Minnewaska High School from 10 AM – 2 PM! The Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our Ambassador Program. Ambassadors play a key role in welcoming new members, attending ribbon cuttings, networking events, and visiting Chamber businesses to strengthen connections. This is a great opportunity to expand your network, develop leadership skills, and increase visibility for yourself and your business while supporting the local community. The commitment is flexible, with just one hour per month for member visits, plus quarterly luncheons or meetings. Training is provided, and participation is based on your availability.

Minnewaska Dollars are an incentive to help support local businesses. Minnewaska Dollars are a monetary check certificate issued by the Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber that can be used just like a check at businesses all around the Glenwood Lakes Area.

How much are Minnewaska Dollars worth?

Minnewaska Dollars are issued at the Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber in a variety of denominations ($5, $10, $20).

How do I spend my Minnewaska Dollars?

Simply present the Minnewaska Dollars to the business when you go to pay. The business will process the Minnewaska Dollars just like a check and deposit it in their bank account.

Where can I spend my Minnewaska Dollars?

Any business in the Glenwood Lakes Area (chamber member or not) can accept Minnewaska Dollars as long as they accept checks as a form of payment.

What if a purchase doesn’t use the full Minnewaska Dollars amount?

We encourage you to use the entire value of the Minnewaska Dollars check at one time. However, this is a monetary certificate at its face value. If you don’t use the entire value at one time, change can only be given for no more than 20% of its value.

Do Minnewaska Dollars expire?

Minnewaska Dollars have an expiration date (one year from the date purchased). If your Minnewaska Dollars expire before you get a chance to use them, you can exchange them for current Minnewaska Dollars.

What do I do if a customer presents a Minnewaska Dollars at my business for payment of items or service?

Simply accept the Minnewaska Dollars at face value, endorse the back of the check and deposit it into your bank.

Is there a charge to accept Minnewaska Dollars?

No, there is no charge to the holder or the redeemer of Minnewaska Dollars.

No. The Chamber sells $10,000+ in Minnewaska Dollars each year drawn from a well-funded account at Magnifi Financial. You’ll have no problem accepting Minnewaska Dollars. There’s no risk – you’ll always get paid!

Day of Faith on April 2 from 8:15-12:05 for 5th-12th students. 

Enjoy youth-lead worship, inspirational talks, group challenges, and much more. We’ll even treat you to pizza and pop for lunch -- all for FREE! Students and adult volunteers both can use our sign-up form to communicate parental permission and sign our waiver. On April 2, students will eat breakfast, but skip signing in at your first class. Instead, you’ll need to ride the bus from the MAHS flagpole @ 8:15. We’ll bring you over to Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck and we’ll have you fed and returned to the MAHS flagpole by 12:05pm.  Invite friends and help us spread the word! Register by March 30.
