| Now Available! ‘Locals Only’ - $50 Single Day Tickets to attend High Sierra Music Festival 2025
The Quincy Chamber of Commerce has announced a special deal for local residents to attend this year’s High Sierra Music Festival at a discounted rate.
Thanks to the efforts of the Quincy Chamber of Commerce, Ken Donnell and Backstage at MusicLand, in partnership with the festival organizers, ‘locals only’ single-day passes are now available for just $50.00 each — a significant discount from regular prices. Kids, VIP, parking, and camping passes are available to purchase online at
highsierramusic.com/tickets; the ‘locals only’ passes are for day use only. The 2025 High Sierra Music Festival will take place July 3–6 at the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds.
These discounted passes are available exclusively in person at The Quincy Hub and are limited to residents within specific zip codes (listed below). Note that the eligible zip codes have expanded from previous years!
Proof of local residency is required at the time of purchase. Acceptable documentation includes a current and unexpired driver’s license, state ID, or recent mail showing your name and physical address. Eligible ZIP codes:

The Quincy Hub is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m and the discounted rate is available until 6:00 pm on June 28th; wristbands may be picked up via Will Call at The Quincy Hub starting July 2nd between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. The National Fire Protection Association's (NFPA) Firewise USA Program encourages local solutions for safety by involving homeowners in taking individual responsibility for preparing their homes from the risk of wildfire.
Firewise is a key component of Fire Adapted Communities or a collaborative approach that connects all those who play a role in wildfire education, planning, and action with comprehensive resources to help reduce risk. To save lives and property from wildfire, NFPA's Firewise USA program teaches people how to adapt to living with wildfire and encourages neighbors to work together and take action now to prevent losses. Quincy Rotary Seeks Two 11th Graders for RYLA Camp |

The Rotary Club of Quincy announces it is seeking two Quincy 11th graders to join the Rotary Youth Leadership Awakening camp in June. Attendance for these youths is supported by two fully paid scholarships provided by the generosity of the men and women of Quincy Rotary. This year’s RYLA will be held at the Grizzly Creek Ranch educational retreat near Portola. Two camps will be held:
Camp 1: Sunday, June 15, through Friday, June 20 Camp 2: Sunday, June 22, through Friday, June 27

SPI foundation awards grant to Argentine repair effort |

The Sierra Pacific Foundation has awarded a grant to the Argentine Rock Lookout repair effort in Quincy, reports the Argentine Rock Lookout Repair Group, helping pave the way for the group to do more repairs on the lookout this season. Jeff Greef, chairman of the Argentine Group, received the award recently, and said, “This contribution by Sierra Pacific Industries will help us get the materials we need to keep our volunteers working on the lookout this summer, for which we are very grateful.”
