Boy Scouts conduct ceremonial flag burning

The Lake Almanor Area Chamber of Commerce acknowledges the recent ceremonial burning of retired American flags conducted by local Scouts BSA Boys Troop 36.

The chamber reports that this solemn event took place at the Veterans Memorial at the Truman Collins Sports Complex on Nov. 11, serving as a reminder of the respect and tradition citizens uphold for the nation’s symbols.

“The Boy Scouts exemplified honor and reverence in their actions, ensuring that each flag was treated with the dignity it deserves, thereby fostering a deeper sense of community pride,” said the chamber. “We invite all community members to join us in future events that celebrate our local heritage and traditions, reinforcing our collective commitment to honoring those who have served our country.”
