Plumas-Sierra REC Offers Free Washington, D.C. Youth Tour

High school sophomores, juniors, and seniors in Plumas, Lassen, Sierra, or Washoe counties have a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C. this June. Offered by the Plumas-Sierra Rural Electric Cooperative (PSREC), this educational experience includes visits to the Smithsonian, Arlington National Cemetery, and Capitol Hill.

Eligibility: Students must have a primary residence with power from PSREC or internet from Plumas-Sierra Telecommunications.

Deadline: Applications are due by January 30, 2026.

Feather River Job Fair 2026

Feather River College, in partnership with the Alliance for Workforce Development, is thrilled to announce the return of the Feather River Job Fair. Local employers are invited to connect with FRC students, high schoolers, and the entire community to hire on the spot.

Event Details:

• Date: Thursday, March 5, 2026
• Location: Feather River College Gym
• Cost: FREE for local businesses (includes a complimentary lunch)
