First, a little insider tip for the Quincy workforce: While the door officially opens at 6:00 AM, Kimberly opens at 5:30 AM every morning to ensure dawn-shift workers can grab their fresh breakfast sandwiches before heading to work! They are also ready to take your custom orders daily.

Looking ahead, Grandma Jane’s is preparing for a massive wedding season, with over 80 weddings already on the books!

 

If you are planning your own big day, you are invited to an exclusive Wedding Dessert Tasting on April 19th from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. The event is $25 per couple and is RSVP only. Please call the bakery directly to reserve your spot.

Local Job Opportunities: Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship

Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship is now hiring for the 2026 season and seeking dedicated individuals to join its team in Quincy and Downieville. They are offering seasonal full-time and variable-hour positions for trail maintenance and bike shop operations.

 

Open Positions:

  • Trail Crew Member (Quincy & Downieville): Seasonal Full-Time (40 hrs/wk). Contract runs March 30 – Oct 31, 2026. Pay: $20.00 – $25.00/hr DOE.
  • Shuttle Driver (Quincy): Seasonal Full-Time (40 hrs/wk). Contract runs May 15 – Oct 31, 2026. Pay: $20.00 – $25.00/hr DOE.
  • Bike Tech (Quincy): Available as Seasonal Full-Time (40 hrs/wk) or Variable Hour (0-40 hrs/wk). Contract runs May 15 – Oct 31, 2026. Pay: $20.00 – $30.00/hr DOE.

The Alliance for Workforce Development (AFWD) and Feather River College (FRC) are excited to announce the 3rd Annual Feather River Job Fair, scheduled for March 5th. This event is a premier opportunity for local job seekers to connect with employers from diverse industries and explore career paths within our region.

Get ready to feel the love! Chamber member Plumas Arts is bringing back the Community Heart Art Show for its second year. This unique, community-powered exhibition features hundreds of wooden heart canvases transformed by artists of all ages and skill levels across Plumas County.
