our member spotlight on a true local institution:
Gray’s Garden!
This year marks a monumental
80th Anniversary for Gray's Garden.
As a family-owned and operated business spanning an
incredible six generations, they have deep roots in our
community and a wealth of horticultural knowledge to
share.
The team has been hard at work preparing for the warmer
weather, having already germinated a staggering
40,000 seeds for this season alone!
Whether you are looking to beautify your yard or start
your vegetable plot, Gray's is committed to quality

Feather River College Foundation
Tomorrow, April 18, is your final
opportunity to experience the 2026 Quincy Star Follies at
the Town Hall Theatre! Choose between the
5:30 p.m. or
8:00 p.m. show to watch a dynamic cast of
120 local performers deliver high-energy dancing and
theatrical flair. This lively production promises fantastic
entertainment for the whole community while supporting an
excellent cause.
All proceeds benefit the
Feather River College Foundation, funding
vital student scholarships, clubs, conference registrations,
and cultural field trips. Don't miss this beloved event
that enriches our students' educational experiences!

Celebrate Earth Day at Dellinger’s Pond!
Feather River College
Join Feather River College and the
Plumas Audubon Society for a meaningful Earth Day
Work Party! On Wednesday,
April 22, from 4–6 PM, our community will
come together at the entrance to Dellinger’s Pond to help
maintain this local gem.
All necessary tools and equipment will be provided for the
tasks at hand. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own
work gloves if they have them.
It’s a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while
giving back to our beautiful Quincy environment.
Free Film Screening: Wings of the Feather River
Plumas Arts
Plumas Arts invites our community to a free
screening of Wings of the Feather River: Memory &
Renewal in Maidu Country on April 23rd at
the Town Hall Theatre.
This powerful film explores the deep cultural ties of the
Maidu people to the Feather River. It also highlights the
ongoing effort to protect our local lands, waters, and
future.
Produced by Redbud Resource Group and Happy Valley Film
Company, it promises to be an inspiring evening of local
history and advocacy. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the film
starts promptly at 7:00 PM.
“Pickle Ballers” Blind Draw Tournament
Central Plumas Recreation and Park District
Registration is officially open for the limited-space
Pickleball tournament on April 25 and 26 at
Serpilio Hall. Players of all skill levels (ages 16+) are
welcome, and teams will be drawn at random for fair play.

Dive Into Summer at Pioneer Community Pool!
Central Plumas Recreation and Parks District
The Central Plumas Recreation and Parks District is gearing
up for an incredible Summer 2026 season! From June 15th
through August 14th, Pioneer Community Pool will be open for
public, family, and lap swimming.
Registration is currently available in the Pioneer office
for group and private swim lessons, as well as the Plumas
Rapids Swim Team. Plus, CPRPD is hiring part-time lifeguards
for the season, featuring mandatory training and no prior
experience required. Whether you want to splash around,
learn a new stroke, or join their amazing staff, there is
something for everyone.

Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship
The first Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship Mountain Epic
volunteer weekend of the year is just around the corner!
Join the crew right here in Quincy from May 15-17 to help
build and maintain the beautiful trails on Mt. Hough. After
a rewarding day of digging in the dirt, you can sleep under
the stars and unwind by the fire pit to live acoustic jams
by Peter DeMattei. SBTS provides all the food, beverages,
and tools you need, so just bring your mountain energy!

Plumas District Hospital Inspires Our Community!
Plumas District Hospital
Plumas District Hospital had an incredible month focused on
local health and education!
They recently welcomed twelve students into the PHESI
program and
taught Quincy High School students about
rewarding healthcare careers. PDH also celebrated National
Doctor’s Day by
introducing Dr. Dana Petersen, a new
pediatric behavioral health provider. Plus, mark your
calendars for their annual
Health Fairs happening during the first two
weeks of May!
