Mayor Joe Hardy will present “One Team, Together!”, the annual State of the City address on Thursday, January 15, 2026. The event will begin with a social hour at 3:00PM, followed by his address at 4:00PM at Boulder Creek Golf Course Pavilion (1501 Veterans Memorial Drive). USA Cycling has announced the location for the 2026 Southwest Regional Gravity Championships. Boulder City is once again home to the championship, hosting the event up at Bootleg Canyon Mountain Bike Park. The southwest region includes Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and California. The winner of the Downhill (DH) and Super D races will be eligible for medals and prizes.
The race will take place Friday, January 16 thru Sunday, January 18, 2026. More information about the event, including registration information, can be found HERE.
Spectators can watch the racers compete for FREE beginning at 1:30PM on Friday. There are several different categories for racers, including Adult Men, Adult Women, Girls and Boys. The racers are compete with others in their racing class and age group. Bootleg Canyon Mountain Bike Park is located at 1027 Canyon Road.

Each February, filmmakers and film fans travel from all over the world and descend upon Boulder City, Nevada and celebrate the art of short film. Nevada’s favorite cultural event, the Annual Dam Short Film Festival will present short films in all styles and genres.
The Dam Short Film Festival is back for its 22nd year! The 2026 festival kicks off on Wednesday, February 11th and runs through Monday February 16th. Come see the Festival at the Elaine K. Smith building in downtown Boulder City, NV. Seating capacity is limited to 250 guests per session so you’ll want to move quickly if you want to attend!

This event is the major fundraising event for the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce and is filled with Arts, Crafts, Antiques, Music, Little Miss and Mister Pageant, Song, Dance, Mini Carnival rides, Bark in the Park, Rock and Gem Show, Classic Cars and local Business.
