DesertCleanUp Boulder City Nevada

Clark County Desert Conservation Program, along with Mojave Max, have scheduled a trail restoration and cleanup event for Saturday, October 12, 2024 beginning at 8:00AM. This will take place in the Boulder City Conservation Easement and helps clean and restore the natural habitat for the wild tortoises in the area.

It’s easy to sign up: just scan the QR code above or click HERE for more details about the project, as well as the meeting location.

The Desert Conservation Program was established in 1990, after the Mojave Desert Tortoise was listed as a vulnerable species in Southern Nevada. Through training, good stewardship, and cooperation among various groups the Desert Tortoise remains a protected animal and we maintain specific habitat areas for them to live in. The Boulder City Conservation Easement was created in 1995 through a partnership between the City of Boulder City and Clark County. The easement, which provides a safe area for Desert Tortoises and other native species, incorporates more than 87,000 acres of land.

Be sure to join Mojave Max and his team of volunteers on Saturday, October 12 to help keep the area maintained.

Dear Old Town Area Merchant,
The Boulder City Chamber of Commerce is proud to sponsor the 23rd Annual King Shopping Day. On December 12th and 13th from 9:30am to 1:30 pm, our Streets Will be filled with 5th graders ready and eager to spend their hard-earned money with the Merchants of Old Town. The fifth Grade Teachers of Martha P. King Elementary School have been hard at work With their wonderful Students teaching them about economics and how it applies in their lives. This is a great opportunity for each us to get involved with these Students, and help make them aware of Boulder City and what it has to offer.
This Will also be an exciting event for those who have wares to sell, restaurants, or anyone wanting the chance to advertise their services. We are expecting quite a bit of media attention and many parents and adult chaperons will be with the kids.
It is so important for our city merchants and residents to work together, and what better way than to help the Children learn more about our economic climate. These kids are able to receive hands-on experience that Will later lead to smart consumers and at the same time will be helping the Boulder City economy.
The Chamber will once again put together a coupon book that the Children will have a chance in advance to search through and look for bargains that will suit their shopping needs. If this appeals to you, please fill in the info below!
