The Boulder City Library has a new StoryWalk® set up downtown! You can stop by the library for a map, or check out this link HERE for the map.
Kids of all ages will be able to see the story presented on laminated pages displayed as they walk and stop at several locations along the way in downtown Boulder City. When the kids complete the walk, they fill out a form and get a free button or sticker.
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson. StoryWalk® programs can be found around the world in Germany, Canada, England, Bermuda, Russia, Malaysia, Pakistan and South Korea!
Regular operating hours for the library are as follows: Monday thru Thursday from 10:00AM to 8:00PM, and Friday thru Sunday from 10:00AM to 5:00PM. The library is located at 701 Adams Boulevard in ABC Park, and is online 24 hours a day HERE. Our drama ministry is designed, not as a religious program, but a program to teach children and teens about kindness and teamwork. Semi-Annual Boulder City Friends of the Library Big Basement Book Sale. Come browse thousands of donated books, cds, movies, Hidden Treasures, and unique items. It is a donation based fundraiser with suggested donations per item. This is our largest fundraiser and the proceeds go to supporting the library and literacy in our community. We will host a bazaar of unique gift-able items, a holiday shop, and a silent auction. Pollie's Hidden Treasures will have a large selection of donated books of value, these are first editions, signed, or other books of value. This is a fun afternoon, and many of our participants meet new friends and reconnect with old friends. The Tour is also a fundraiser for scholarships for local college students continuing their education. Homeowners have volunteered their homes to help AAUW earn the funds for those scholarships. Many homes on our tours have had extensive remodeling, others are much newer, some can be older, with little or no renovation.
