She will explain how each industry affected Benson's growth and, at times, its decline. Judianne will also highlight other historical icons. This is a FREE event open to the public!

June Native American Rattle Making Class

Workshop synopsis:

Rattle making workshop will last anywhere from three to four hours.  $60

All materials will be provided. This class will be for the 4"- 5" gourd rattle. You will cut and clean out a gourd; put one of these items, rocks, seeds, shells, beads, or beans to make the sound you like. Then you will fashion a handle by cutting and sanding a length of yucca stock for a handle and decorating it.

A light lunch will be served.

Cancellation will result in $30 fee.
