Presentation and book signing by Darcy Dougherty Maulsby
During her fun, interactive program, Maulsby serves up fascinating tidbits and cooking tips related to more than 150 years of Iowa cuisine and ethnic food traditions, from all corners of the state, with stories that include Iowa' classic breaded pork tenderloins, church dinners, the historic Younkers Team Room, Laura Ingalls Wilder, and more. Discover how Iowa's delectable cuisine is quintessentially Midwestern, grounded in its rich farming heritage and spiced with diverse ethnic influences.
In Medieval times, groups of merchants and performers would often set up outside a town and create an event for all the people to come and experience. Travellers Fest is modeled after these events. Help us celebrate the second annual Travelling Renaissance Village! We are a Bazar style faire with live performers, vendors, unique handmade items, and fun for all ages.
