Our tea party in June was so much fun that we're having a Hawaiian party at our July Death Cafe!

Come make social connections, have a cuppa with us (we have lots of tea!), and talk about all facets of the inevitable from sharing stories to asking questions and everything in between. It’s very often quite the laugh and no topic is off limits. This is not grief counseling (though you could gain comfort) but is intended to be an open, safe space to talk death and dying. Snacks and tea always provided. The group meets each month on the 4th Mon. at 4:00 pm.

Driving Route 66 today is part time travel, part treasure hunt, and part modern adventure. From vintage diners and quirky art installations to glowing neon signs and one-of-a-kind accommodations, this legendary road remains an ever-evolving slice of Americana. With the Mother Road’s centennial fast approaching, Route 66 continues to surprise, inspire, and prove it’s still kicking, nearly a century later.
Our journey will be led by: Sage Scott is a travel writer and photographer who was bitten by the travel bug as a preschooler when her family moved abroad for the first time. She recently checked a classic road trip off her bucket list by driving all 2,448 miles of Route 66, from Chicago to Santa Monica. Follow her adventures at Everyday Wanderer.

The goal of the Leavenworth-Lansing Area Chamber's Military Affairs Council (MAC) is to advance the pro-business climate in the area through military affairs initiatives, and to maintain and enhance the business community's relationship with Fort Leavenworth.

The Military Affairs Council works to grow and sustain not only Fort Leavenworth, but other Department of Defense operations in the area.  The MAC functions as a liaison between the local military and business communities, implementing programs which provide greater interaction between Chamber members and DOD/military personnel.  The MAC hosts various events throughout the year that help to further our community relationships and honor military service.

MAC Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month.

Military Affairs Council Meetings are open only to members of the Chamber of Commerce (or representatives thereof) as well as any members of military leadership.
