Plumas Audubon Society and Feather River College invite you to spend some time this Earth Day improving a local treasure! Dellinger’s Pond, located on the west end of Quincy along Buck’s Lake Road, is one of the most popular locations in Plumas County to soak up nature and observe birds. Join us for a couple hours of trail improvement and general cleanup!

Tools and gloves will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you’d like. Parking is limited along the road at the Pond, so we encourage you to park at Dame Shirley Plaza and walk two blocks west to Dellinger’s Pond.

The National Fire Protection Association's (NFPA) Firewise USA Program encourages local solutions for safety by
involving homeowners in taking individual responsibility for preparing their homes from the risk of wildfire. Firewise
is a key component of Fire Adapted Communities or a collaborative approach that connects all those who play
a role in wildfire education, planning, and action with comprehensive resources to help reduce risk. To save lives and property from wildfire, NFPA's Firewise USA program teaches people how to adapt to living with wildfire and encourages neighbors to work together and take action now to prevent losses. For more details visit nfpa.org
