From the best-selling novel by Delia Owens of the same name comes a big screen captivating mystery. Where the Crawdads Sing tells the story of Kya, an abandoned girl who raised herself to adulthood in the dangerous marshlands of North Carolina. For years, rumors of the “Marsh Girl” haunted Barkley Cove, isolating the sharp and resilient Kya from her community. Drawn to two young men from town, Kya opens herself to a new and startling world; but when one of them is found dead, she is immediately cast by the community as the main suspect. As the case unfolds, the verdict as to what actually happened becomes increasingly unclear, threatening to reveal the many secrets that lay within the marsh.

• This 125 minute Dramatic Mystery Thriller is Rated PG-13 for sexual content and some violence including a sexual assault.

This event is a casual event, we provide the discs for you to play with the morning of the event, and it is a load of fun. There are four divisions set up, and more can be added if necessary. Currently, we have General, Ladies, Junior Boys, and Junior Girls. Also, we have an option for people to buy the discs without playing in the tournament, for those that cannot make it but want to get their hands on these otherwise unattainable (for now) discs. For more information or to register to play, go to www.discgolfscene.com/plumasmvp .

Also, if you would like to keep up to date with disc golf news and happenings in and around Quincy, check out www.plumasdiscgolf.com or join our Facebook group, https://www.facebook.com/groups/plumasdiscgolf .

Oscar® winner Jordan Peele disrupted and redefined modern horror with Get Out and then Us. Now, he reimagines the summer movie with a new pop nightmare: the expansive horror epic, Nope wherein the residents of a lonely gulch in inland California bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery. After random objects falling from the sky result in the death of their father, ranch-owning siblings OJ and Emerald Haywood attempt to capture video evidence of an unidentified flying object with the help of tech salesman Angel Torres and documentarian Antlers Holst. The film reunites Peele with Oscar® winner Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out, Judas and the Black Messiah), who is joined by Keke Palmer and Oscar® nominee Steven Yeun (Minari, Okja) and co-stars Michael Wincott and Brandon Perea. It is written and directed by Jordan Peele.

• This 131 minute Horror film is Rated R for language throughout and some violence/bloody images.

After being buried for two years due to situations beyond our realm of control, we are proud to revive our Grave Occasion Cemetery Tour & Dinner. This year we visit the historic Prattville Cemetery on the shores of beautiful Lake Almanor.

Both our dinner venue (local eatery Carol's Cafe is catering this year's dinner at the West Almanor Picnic Grounds) and the cemetery escaped the inferno of the Dixie Fire, and we look forward to gathering once again to uncover Plumas County history.

Please join us for this blissful evening of food, beverage, and undead entertainment and historical characterizations. Tickets are limited to 100 guests and are on sale now at the Museum!

The National Fire Protection Association's (NFPA) Firewise USA Program encourages local solutions for safety by
involving homeowners in taking individual responsibility for preparing their homes from the risk of wildfire. Firewise
is a key component of Fire Adapted Communities or a collaborative approach that connects all those who play
a role in wildfire education, planning, and action with comprehensive resources to help reduce risk. To save lives and property from wildfire, NFPA's Firewise USA program teaches people how to adapt to living with wildfire and encourages neighbors to work together and take action now to prevent losses. For more details visit nfpa.org

The Mountain Harvest Beer Festival, Plumas Arts’ primary fundraising event, invites you to support local culture and community with a great collection of humanity, another stellar collection of micro-brewed beers, yummy food and exciting  musical guests.

Mountain Harvest revolves around one of the most impressive small town microbrew tastings you will find anywhere. Brewers and brewery owners love to come to this event to proudly share the fruits of their labors and to "talk beer" with an interested, appreciative crowd. We will have more than 20 craft brewers represented.
