Planning is under way for the annual Sandy Community Christmas Basket Program sponsored by the Sandy Kiwanis Club. Last year our request for donations aided in making it possible for us to assist 300 families within our community with baskets filled with food and toys.
As in other years the Sandy Kiwanis will be purchasing the fresh food, meat and basic canned goods that are included in each basket. With schools back in session we are looking forward to the added donations provided by the Leadership Clubs district wide canned food drive to help round out the boxes.
Donations from business and community members will be essential this year to fill the gap leftover by the ever increasing cost of food and toys.
This year each basket will have the same items as in the past that will provide a holiday meal: a ham and all the sides to go with it. The cost of each basket is about $50.
Please join us in support of our community and donate to this special program to help Christmas wishes come true. For your convenience you can make your donation online through PayPal.
New toys are being collected and donated by several local businesses and organizations. Anyone wishing to donate gifts can take them to the following locations:
Clackamas Fire – Sandy Community Station
Sandy Public Library
Geren’s Farm & Landscape Supply
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices
Clackamas County Bank – Sandy Branch
Sandy Grocery Outlet
Dick Hannah Ford & Chevrolet
Mt. Hood Athletic Club
Sandy Les Schwab Tires
Possibility Squad Powered by Advantage Mortgage
OnPoint Credit Union – Sandy Fred Meyer Location
The Kiwanis asks that gifts be new and unwrapped or in the form of a gift card for teens.
Click here to contact us with any questions or needed pickups. We thank you in advance for your support!
Kiwanis Club of Sandy is a tax deductible non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, tax ID#93-603278
