Here’s a great event for those interested in the history of Boulder City: Angels and Outlaws, presented by the Boulder City Hoover Dam Museum. It’s a series of curated events bringing Boulder City’s colorful past to life through storytelling. The next one is scheduled for Friday, June 5 at 2:00PM at Lakeview Terrace Assisted Living facility (110 Ville Drive). Titled Angels and Outlaws: Virginia “Teddy” Fenton and Sims Ely, it will feature a chance to learn more about these important historical figures in Boulder City. It’s all part of their new First Fridays events at the facility that take place every other month (next one will be August 2026). The event is FREE and open to the public.

From the Museum’s newsletter:

Step into the vivid, larger-than-life world of early Boulder City, where grit, resilience, and a touch of rebellion helped shape a community unlike any other. On June 5, 2026 at 2:00 PM, the Boulder City/Hoover Dam Museum is proud to present “Angels and Outlaws: Teddy Fenton and Sims Ely” at Lakeview Terrace Assisted Living.

This engaging talk brings to life two unforgettable figures from Southern Nevada’s past—Teddy Fenton, a beloved community builder whose warmth, generosity, and social spirit helped transform a dusty government camp into a thriving town, and Sims Ely, a controversial and colorful “outlaw” whose exploits added intrigue and tension to life in the early days of Boulder City and the surrounding region.

Through storytelling, historical insight, and a few surprising twists, guests will explore the balance between order and chaos, compassion and defiance, that defined the era. Was Boulder City shaped more by its “angels” or its “outlaws”? You might be surprised by the answer.

This presentation is part of the museum’s ongoing commitment to bringing local history directly into the community—sharing the stories that make Boulder City and the Hoover Dam legacy so rich and enduring.

Residents of Lakeview Terrace, their guests and the public are warmly invited to attend. Come ready to be entertained, enlightened, and transported back to a time when the rules were still being written—and sometimes broken.

For more information about future talks, educational programs, or to schedule a presentation, please contact by emailing HERE.

What a fantastic opportunity to learn more about our town and the people who shaped it!

Bring your biggest marketing challenge. Get a professional diagnosis, actionable advice, and clear next steps.

Most businesses don't have a marketing problem.  They have a decision problem.

If you're a business owner, entrepreneur, nonprofit leader, or local operator in Boulder City, this event is your opportunity to sit down one-on-one with a Fractional CMO and get clarity on what's actually holding your marketing back.

This is not a networking event.  This is not a sales presentation. This is not a generic "pick my brain" coffee meeting.

Instead, think of this as a marketing clinic.

Bring your website, social media, advertising campaigns, branding questions, lead-generation challenges, or growth frustrations. We'll spend 20 minutes identifying the real issue, discussing practical solutions, and outlining the next steps that make the most sense for your business.

You will leave with:

• A professional assessment of your marketing challenges

• Actionable recommendations you can implement immediately

• Clarity on what's working, what's broken, and what to prioritize next

• A better understanding of where your business sits on the Marketing Minus Zero framework

Over the past year, I've worked with organizations across the country as a Fractional CMO, helping leadership teams identify waste, restore clarity, and build marketing systems that actually produce results. My work has included rebuilding marketing operations, eliminating unnecessary spending, improving lead generation, and helping organizations stop confusing activity with progress.

This clinic is designed for business owners who are serious about growth and want honest feedback—not marketing jargon.

Who Should Attend?

• Small business owners

• Entrepreneurs

• Nonprofit leaders

• Restaurant and hospitality operators

• Professional service firms

• Anyone responsible for generating customers and revenue

What to Bring

• Your website

• Your social media accounts

• Recent marketing materials

• Specific questions or challenges

• An open mind

What You'll Get

Every participant receives a focused one-on-one working session designed to diagnose the real issue before recommending tactics. The goal is to identify where your business may be operating below the conditions necessary for marketing success and what must be fixed first.

Space is limited to ensure meaningful conversations and personalized attention.

Reserve your spot today and bring your biggest marketing challenge.
