LIVE2LEAD Leaderdship Seminar

Welcome to this encore showing of LIVE2LEAD, a leader development experience designed to equip attendees with new perspective, practical tools, and key takeaways. This session will help you uncover some of the secrets of successful leadership and to learn the art of the shift—how to make the changes you need to make as a leader to ensure professional and personal growth. With the pace of business and leadership steadily accelerating, it's essential for leaders to understand how to keep up. Opportunities surround you, but you must develop the leadership agility required to stay in the game. The goal of this event is to enhance students’ understanding of and openness to growth as leaders. It is to help individuals think more insightfully about the subject of leadership and gain an understanding of what they can do to become more effective. Speakers include Dr. John C. Maxwell, Carly Fiorina, Daniel Pink, Debra Searle, and Tyler Perry. This re-broadcast presentation is brought to you by a collaboration of Mid-State Technical College and Heartland Leadership Initiative. Light breakfast and networking lunch provided.

Free Dinner & Movie sponsored by Central Wisconsin Nature Foundation

Frogs: the Thin Green Line  Frogs have been living on this planet for more than 360 million years, and over the centuries, evolved into some of the most wondrous and diverse creatures on earth. Today, however, all their remarkable adaptations and survival tactics are failing them. We've probably already lost a third of amphibians, and many more are severely threatened.  Where the calls of frogs once filled the air, scientists now hear only silence. Ecosystems are beginning to unravel, and the potential to discover important medical cures may be lost forever. Habitat loss, pollution and a human population that has doubled in the past 50 years have set the stage for their diminished numbers. But now, a fungus called chytrid has been identified as the major culprit, and so far the spread of the fungus can’t be stopped. 60 minutes

Queen's Cartoonist

Adams-Friendship Area Educational Foundation presents The Queen’s Cartoonists, a group of musicians from New York City that play music from cartoons and the silver screen, offer a tour-de-force of the Swing Era’s zaniest and most creative music, much of which was written for or adapted for classic cartoons. Their concerts include virtuosic performances, projections of cartoons with note-for-note live score recreation, multi-instrumental mayhem, singing, and comedy. TQC’s concert repertoire features music from the Golden Age of animation, cult cartoon classics, and modern animation. Featured composers include Raymond Scott, Carl Stalling, Danny Elfman, Alf Clausen, John Williams, and adaptations from the classical repertoire.  Whether you’re a fan of Looney Tunes, Merry Melodies, The Simpsons, or the old Disney classics, you’ll find something to swing along to!

Tickets are $15 in advance and $25 at the door; on line at afasd.tix.com
