Free Yoga at Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site

Join Yoga Buzz and unroll your mat at the park! We’ll enjoy a 1 hour, all levels class on the shady lawn. After class, breathe in some history – enjoy self-guided tour of the home and property surrounding it. Pre-registration is not required, but is appreciated. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one. Dress for the summer weather and don’t forget sunscreen and a water bottle. In case of rain, the class will be cancelled. Affton Community Days Parade - presented by Affton Plaza

Registration is CLOSED for parade entries. If you would like to inquire about the possibility of participating after the deadline, please call the Affton Chamber office at 314.631.3100.

Parade begins at 10:00 am.
Theme: Affton Gives Back (build your entry with non-perishable food and other items that will be donated to local organziations)
Route: Affton High School, traveling south on Mackenzie, then proceeding down Gravois Road to Weber Road, and ending at Bayless Elementary School

Judges will award winners for participants including Theme of Parade, Judge’s Choice, Most Original Entry, Best Church Entry and Best School Entry.

Bike Through History

Every 3rd Saturday (April - September) you can join a National Park Service Ranger on a 4-mile round trip bike ride along Grant's Trail. The trip begins at Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site and along the way to Sappington House the park ranger will describe points of interest. The free bike trip includes a tour of the Sappington Home. Ride leaves at 10 am and lasts approximately two hours. All ages are welcomed but reservations are required. Call 314-842-1867 ext. 230.

Ambassador Committee Meeting

ambassador (am-bas-uh-der, -dawr)
a person who acts as a representative or promoter of a specified activity
Ambassadors are official representatives of the Affton Chamber that serve as volunteers on the “front-line” of our meetings & events. Help educate prospective members & guests, welcome new members, and facilitate networking. Committee attends Affton Chamber events (meetings, ribbon cuttings, social hours, etc.) and facilitates Key to the 123 Seminar.

Run Through History

Join a park ranger on a 90-minute, 3 mile relaxing run from Ulysses S. Grant’s home, White Haven, to St. Paul’s Cemetery and back. Runners will explore the history of Grantwood Village and the original site of Grant’s “Hardscrabble” cabin. Free reservations are required. Call 314-842-1867 ext. 230.
