| 6/28/2025 | We are pleased to announce an important update regarding the annual Tucker Westfall Memorial Golf Outing, a beloved event that has not only provided healing and camaraderie to everyone involved, but has also brought the greater Athens community together since its inception in 2019. After organizing and sponsoring this outing for the past five years, Dale and Tracy Westfall have decided to step back and the Athens Area Booster Club joyfully accepted the opportunity to coordinate this annual event. We are excited to continue this golf outing in memory of Tucker and keep this event moving forward. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Westfall family for their dedication and hard work in making the event a success over the years. Their commitment has not only raised a significant amount of funds for the baseball, football, and wrestling programs at Athens High School, but has also fostered a powerful sense of community among participants and supporters alike. As we step into this new chapter, the Athens Area Booster Club asks for your continued support at Black River Golf Course in June. Your contributions are vital to our mission, and we are committed to upholding the spirit of this event while striving to enhance its impact. After seeing the influence that the donations made to three sports at the high school level, we feel honored to be able to extend that support to any sport within the Athens School District. Our other events will continue supporting the community as a whole, but with the proceeds from this golf outing, we want to continue to honor the Westfall Family and their generous hearts by bench marking these funds to sports of all school ages. We will have more information and details on registration to follow, but we are excited to continue making a difference in the Athens community. Thank you for your generosity and continued support.
