Holiday Fine Arts and Crafts Show

Boulder City Art Guild Presents~~  ~~
HOLIDAY FINE ARTS AND CRAFTS SHOW Sat & Sun Nov 10 &11 9am-4pm
This is a two-day Artisan style fine arts & crafts festival held indoors, with artists exhibiting their works, many of which are specific to the holiday season. Hand made items such as ceramics and jewelry, or weaving and smaller
artworks are regularly offered.
BCAG member, Diane Ricks will be displaying her nationally recognized handmade silk gowns,  designed and sewn with silk materials she created.  Visitors can also purchase raffle tickets for any of 3 pieces of prize-winning art works to be raffled off during the show.

Author Reading: "Lords of St. Thomas"

Join author Jackson Ellis for a reading from his historical novel, based on the 1938 flooding of St. Thomas, Nevada.  "Lords of St. Thomas" tells the story of a family who refused to evacuate the town as the waters of Lake Mead were nearing their doorsteps.  Jackson will also provide a brief overview of St. Thomas' history and present-day status as a ghost town situated within Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

Native Plant Nursery Work Day

We are a group of women who meet for fun and friendship to support each other emotionally, physically, and financially in our businesses, personal life, and organizations. We meet at a great local restaurant in Boulder City, Boulder Creek Golf Club. Happy Hour Menu will be available along with regular menu items accompanied by an optional full bar. Our group meets at 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on the 2nd Monday of every month.

Storytime Train

Nevada Southern Railroad

 

Bring the kids (regardless of age) and have a fun time riding the train, coloring, doing a craft, and listening to a children's story.  Purchase regular tickets to ride the train and join our Storytime Crew in the dining car of the train, on the regularly scheduled train runs (10AM, 11:30AM, 1PM, or 2:30PM).  We furnish the coloring pages and markers, craft materials, and the story.  Sit with your kids, have fun, take photos or videos, and watch the beautiful desert scenery from the comfort of our train. 

Also joining us this Special weekend while the Author of Aggie's Purple Hands, Rhonda Gaitlin who will be signing her books; they will also be available for purchase.

Boulder City Art Guild Featured Artist Exhibit For Nov 2018:     *ART BY GEORGIA*
Bright colors and bold designs define Georgia’s art work. She enjoys working in Oils, Watercolors, and Acrylics .  Her subject matter varies from landscapes and occasional seascapes to still-life.  But Ms Lawson’s most inspired and widely acclaimed subjects are her paintings of animals. She has had many requests for paintings of pets and now regularly takes commissions for pet portraits. Georgia also gives classes at City Lights Gallery and Hobby Lobby in Henderson and  loves helping students discover their inner artist and the joy of painting.
