Loaves & Lobsters Fundraising Dinner

Join the Boulder City United Methodist Church for their 4th Annual Loaves & Lobster dinner.  This fundraising dinner is to support the ministries of the BCUMC.  Live Maine lobster is flown in fresh and coupled with BBQ corn on the cob, coleslaw, rolls and dessert.  

Enjoy the Silent Auction and get some great deals on a variety of items and services.  Cash Bar.

Tickets are $40 each and can be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce.

5th Annual Soggy Doggy Pool Pawty

Come enjoy an end-of-season celebration with your pooch at the city pool! The wading pool and a portion of the main pool will be available for dogs to enjoy, so come have some doggone fun!
Two sessions are scheduled, but we will fill up the 9 am session before registering pooches for the 10:35 am session. Cost is $4 if registered by Sept. 4th/$6 if  you register after Sept. 4th. You must register in person and provide current Boulder City pet license and proof of rabies vaccination. Each human may bring no more than 2 dogs. Please see pool for full listing of rules for the event.
Boulder City Animal Control and Swimming Pool staff will be on location.

Women in Support of Women

We are a group of women who meet for fun and friendship to support each other emotionally, physically, and financially in our businesses, personal life, and organizations. Please join us for our get-together Mingle in the DeSimone Steakhouse at Railroad Pass . The steakhouse is closed that night so it is a private event for Women in Support of Women starting at 5pm.
There will be wine available from $4 for house wines up to whatever you choose from their wine menu (by glass or bottle).
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO EAT we ask that you prepay for the special buffet that will be available in that room. Cost is $15. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO EAT but for those who would like to please prepurchase your ticket at to purchase your ticket under Events.
On the menu is:
Caesar Salad
Veggies with Ranch 
Chopped Chicken Fingers
Chopped Shrimp
Chopped Grilled Chicken
Chopped Salmon
Braised beef
Chef’s Selection of Desserts
$15.00 per person.
Each person pays on own
(Casino to provide wristbands)
Everyone who prepays will be entered in the drawing for Door Prizes. Drawings will be at 6:30pm. It is important for us to prepay so that there will be enough food prepared for when we arrive. Railroad pass is waiving the room rental for our group.

DIY Painting Class,
In this class you will learn how to prep your piece, what layering is, the difference between antiquing and distressing.  You will learn about patinas, waxes and top-coats.
You may bring a small piece (must be able to carry with one hand) or we have small items you may have to paint.  You will have something to take home with you at the end of the class.

Community Yard Sale

BC Republican Women's Meeting

We meet for lunch in the Banquet Room at the Railroad Pass Hotel and Casino.

September's guest speaker will be Niger Innis.
Seating is limited and a reservation is required by calling or sending an email by noon on
September 12th. The cost of the luncheon is $23 which includes tax and tip.

Storytime on the Train

StoryTime on the train on the Nevada Southern Railway.  The kids enjoy a coloring page, craft and an age-appropriate story read by one of our docents. Everyone rides the train from the depot to Railroad Pass and return while enjoying the activities along with their parents and family.  StoryTime is on each of the regular departures for the day (10:00 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM).

AAUW's Wine & Chocolate Tasting

It's that time of year again for AAUW's Fall fundraiser. Let's get together with friends for a delightful evening under the stars to enjoy three of our favorite things...Wine, Chocolate, and Smooth Jazz. Join us on the patio of the Boulder Dam Hotel, Saturday, September 21st from 6 to 9 pm. Cost is $15.00 and includes wine, chocolate, and a historic Boulder Dam Hotel wine glass. Guests will have a chance to bid on our fun "Wine Not" silent auction buckets of assorted goodies & drinking/dining cards from local establishments. Tickets may be purchased the evening of the event or earlier at the Boulder Dam Hotel lobby. This traditional AAUW event proudly benefits local scholarships for women returning to school.
