Drivers who use I-10 between Avondale Boulevard and I-17 in Phoenix should plan for delays and use caution while the following weekend closures are in place for pavement removal. 

  • Westbound I-10 between 75th and 99th avenues will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, until 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18. The following ramps will also be closed during this time.
    • The westbound I-10 on-ramps at 67th, 75th, and 83rd avenues.
    • The Loop 202 (South Mountain Freeway) ramp to westbound I-10.
  • Detours: Drivers may take the 51st Avenue exit and drive west on either McDowell Road or Van Buren Street to 107th Avenue to access westbound I-10. Motorists driving north on Loop 202 may exit at Van Buren and travel west to 107th Avenue.

The Buckeye City Council invites you to attend one of three public meetings to help ensure each Council District has an equal population of residents.
Buckeye's population has increased by nearly 80% over the past ten years, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.  With over 600 square miles of planning area, some areas of the city grew faster than others.
To ensure each of Buckeye's six Council Districts has approximately the same amount of residents, we need your help to redraw or update our current Council District boundaries.  Please plan to attend one of these three meetings:

     Monday, Oct. 25, 2021 @ 5:00 pm at Buckeye City Hall Council Chambers, 530 E. Monroe Ave.
     Wednesday, Oct 27, 2021 @ 5:00 pm at Festival Fire Station 704, 27360 W. Wagner Complex Drive

Maricopa County has just announced a new loan program called the Maricopa County Small Business Resilience Program, which can be used to increase your working capital, payroll, utilities and business expansion.

Public invited to comment on city’s proposed

water conservation code updates

 

Buckeye residents, businesses and HOAs are invited to provide comments on the city’s proposed water conservation code updates through either an online form or by attending an upcoming in-person informational meeting.

The proposed code updates are largely designed to reduce outdoor water usage in future developments, helping conserve Buckeye’s precious groundwater resources. A copy of the proposed code changes and online comment form can be found at buckeyeaz.gov/ConservationCodes.  

Residents can also learn more about the proposed changes and provide their comments in-person during an informational meeting taking place:

Buckeye Police Department goes pink for breast cancer awareness


During the month of October, Buckeye Police Department personnel will be wearing pink uniform patches in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  
The Community can show support by purchasing limited edition pink Buckeye Police patches, t-shirts and challenge coins.  All proceeds benefit Bosom Buddies of Arizona. (Uniform Patch - $10, Retro Patch - $10, T-shirts - $20, Challenge Coins - $20)

The Contractor will be using one-way flagging on Miller Road under the TI starting Sunday October 24th for about 2 weeks. The one-way flagging will be approximately as follows:
 
Sunday – 7pm-5am
Monday-Thursday – 9pm-5am

ADOT road closures this weekend Oct 29 - Nov 1

Westbound Interstate 10 (Papago Freeway) closed between Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) and Avondale Boulevard Oct. 29-Nov. 1

Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time 

 

Drivers who use I-10 between Avondale Boulevard and I-17 in Phoenix should plan for delays and use caution while the following weekend closures are in place for pavement removal.

Westbound I-10 will be closed between Loop 101 and Avondale Boulevard from 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, to 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1. The westbound on-ramps at 83rd, 99th and 107th avenues also will be closed.

  • Detour: Drivers may take the 91st Avenue exit and drive westbound on either McDowell Road or Van Buren Street to Avondale Boulevard to re-enter I-10.

The southbound Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) ramp to westbound I-10 also will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, to 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1. 

  • Detour: Drivers can exit Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) at McDowell Road and drive westbound to Avondale Boulevard.
