| 3/23/2024 | Come enjoy the amazing kite displays of Great American Kites & Events. This free community event is presented by the Carroll County County Chamber of Commerce thanks to our generous sponsors. It will take place at the Norborne School from 11am to 5pm. The Norborne Booster Club will have the concession stand open to raise money for a trip for the school band. Food trucks and other vendors will be onsite and small kites will be available for sale. Come enjoy awe-inspiring giant kites, power kites, stunt kites, and more including the world's largest kite spin-sock at nearly three stories high and 200 feet long! For the safety of our festival-goers, we ask that guests do not bring pets, glass or alcohol to the event. All guests are welcome to bring picnic blankets, chairs, and food. There will also be food and drink vendors at the event. Regarding inclement weather, the event will go on as planned in slightly inclement weather; however, in the case of severe weather where thunder and lightning are present, the festival will be postponed to March 24th.
