We, at Lauer Family Chiropractic, would love to share some beneficial information to help you manage the stresses that we face every day. In 30-60 minutes, Dr. Lauer will provide you with a brief overview on how being stressed and tired affects your body; and more importantly provide proactive steps that can address these issues and improve your quality of life.

Reduce fatigue, stress, and headaches

Three Secrets to Stress Management Workshop

Stress has become an epidemic in our country.  Sadly, it’s no longer a problem of only adulthood, but also today’s youth.  We can all tolerate some stress.  But when stress becomes chronic, symptoms, sickness and disease can result.  The good news is that we can all become more aware of the stress in our lives and recognize all its hidden forms.  Even if we can’t make the stress in our life disappear, there are things we can do that will help dissipate stress.  Fact is, how we choose to manage stress plays a significant role in our future health and quality of life.

Fact: Chronic exposure to stress is a leading cause of disease in the United States.

Fact: Conditions including obesity, depression, anxiety, diabetes, and heart disease all are related to stress.

Fact: Research finds that stress has reached epidemic levels with over 75% of the population experiencing “great stress”.

Fact: 75-90% of doctor visits are stress related and the World Health Organization recognizes stress as a worldwide epidemic.

The “Three Secrets to Stress Management” workshop is designed to:

  1. Define health.  Really, most people never think about what health is, only understanding what its absence looks like.  We will create a vision so we have a clear objective to shoot for… better health through better function.

  2. Reveal the consequences of unmanaged stress with the reasoning behind why stress has reached epidemic levels.

  3. Demonstrate how your body processes stress through understanding the stress response.

  4. Identify the 3 different forms of stress in our lives.

  5. Learn the action steps and lifestyle strategies to better adapt to and dissipate stress.

Dr. Lauer is the director and owner of a busy lifestyle based wellness practice in Waukesha.  His passion is to educate his patients and community on the fundamental reasons that explain the epidemic levels of disease and poor health.  As biology major in his undergraduate studies, he realized that nature does not genetically program any organism for sickness and disease.  Science demonstrates that disease is the effect of chronic poor lifestyle choices.  The only plausible solution to America’s health care crisis is not more doctors, hospitals, or better insurance.  The solution is to the health care crisis is reducing the number of sick customers of the health care system.  This can be done through addressing the fundamentals of health and function through lifestyle.

Free for members.
$10 for non-members.
Lunch will be provided.
