Upgrade L.A. - Meet the Descision Makers
Safe Landing for Families at Crenshaw/Exposition
The State of California has made temporary housing trailers available to Los Angeles, to help create safe places for families to sleep. Govenor Newsom is tackling the housing and homelessness crisis head on by issuing an executive order to rapidly increase housing and shelter options across California. The temporary trailers add to L.A. County’s toolbox of solutions to increase interim and permanent housing for our most vulnerable neighbors. We need you to show up and support parents and kids who do not have stable housing. We’re asking for volunteers to work with The Office of Supervisor Ridley-Thomas and Homeless Outreach Program Integrated Care Services (HOPICS) to prepare this temporary housing so that it is available as soon as possible. Volunteers will help with site setup, assembling kids’ play-sets, and preparing the units for families to move in.
