Turning Natural Edge Bowls and Platters Workshop

Learn how to turn a natural edge bowl and a small platter. Natural edge bowls are winged bowls with the bark still in place. A platter is essentially a shallow bowl. Both projects are a little more advanced than the beginning bowl class. Some experience with bowl turning is required.

Day 1: 8:30am-5:30pm       Day 2: 8am-5pm     Class length on days may vary depending on personal projects.

Note: A suggested prerequisite for this class is the Wood Bowl Turning Workshop. Wood will be provided, but you are more than welcome to bring you own, if so desired. For a natural edge bowl, the wood should be half of a log no bigger than 8” in diameter. Wood can be wet or dry. Bring your bowl gouges and any bowl turning tools you may have.
