The Duarte Chamber of Commerce and the League of Women Voters, Pasadena Area will host a candidate forum for the Unified School Board. The forum will feature seven candidates competing for three seats on the Duarte Unified School Board.

The ceremonial blessing usually happens on or around St. Francis of Assisi's feastday (October 4th), the patron saint of animals.  Join our campus cats, Pepa and Angie, with your furry friend for a special blessing (or a picture of them, or children bring stuffed animal).  While the blessing is rooted in the Catholic tradition, you do not have to be Catholic to participate.

Candidates Forum for The Duarte City Coucil

The Duarte Chamber of Commerce and the League of Women Voters, Pasadena Area will host a candidate forum for the Duarte City Council. Residents in the City of Duarte will participate in the first district-based election when they go to vote for in the city's upcoming council elections.
A field of twelve candidates are contending for five City Council seats in the November 6, 2018 election.
The Duarte City Council Candidates forum will take place on Wednesday, October 10.

HIV/AIDS Action Summit

Join us for Senator Anthony J. Portantino's 
10th Annual San Gabriel Valley HIV/AIDS Action Summit

Each year world renowned AIDS experts, government officials, community groups and students participate in discussions regarding the present status and a vision for the future of the fight against AIV/AIDS.  At this year's summit we will be hearing presentations from Dr. Alexandra Levine on HIV/AIDS 101 and from Dr. Leo Moore on PrEP/PEP 101.  We will have panel discussions with Senator Portantino, Hussian Turk, and a client from the Alliance for Housing and Healing on two topics:  (1) Public Health Policy Advocacy and (2) Misinformation and Reducing Stigma of HIV/AIDS.  
This event is FREE and open to the public.
