QUINCY COMMUNITY TRAIL DAZE - APRIL 9th-10th
Looking for trail volunteers to join the Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship April 9th & 10th for a weekend of riding, hiking and diggin' in the dirt!
In partnership with Plumas County and Plumas National Forest, the SBTS trail crew has been working through the winter, cutting new trail and enhancing several existing trails. Spring is here and we still have a lot of work to be done before summer begins.
SATURDAY, APRIL 9th:
Meet in the Lower Campgrounds at the Plumas County Fairgrounds (Quincy) at 9:00am to join the SBTS trail crew as they clear, prep and finish the Indian Falls Ridge 2 trail. This is a singletrack trail located about 15 miles from town. Volunteers will assist the trail crew in finish work; raking the tread, back-sloping, chopping out roots and throwing brush. This is your chance to see a singletrack trail come to life!
*Food, tools and transportation will be provided. Volunteers are invited to stay for an after work BBQ hosted by the Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship.
SUNDAY, APRIL 10th:
Want to make a weekend out of it? Bring your gear and camp out under the stars. There will be organized rides for all of Saturday's trail volunteers on the Mount Hough and South Park trails.
