Meet at Camper Services parking area

Join Naturalist Nancy to hike this 4-mile loop through forest, meadow and rock formations. Dress in layers and bring water, poles and traction if you have them.  

Mueller State Park is open every day for hiking, camping and enjoying the outdoors!

Friday Night Creative Chill: Etched Copper



The remarkable thing about copper etching is how distinct and sophisticated even the simplest of designs appears when expressed using this medium and technique. And the best part? Anyone can do it! No experience necessary.

We will work from small to medium in scale on real sheets of copper, on pieces you can later customize as jewelry pieces or enjoy as two-dimensional art for art's sake. Disclaimer: you may very well fall in love with metal etching after attending this class.

This park is riddled with old homestead cabins. Hike out to Edith’s cabin and imagine living here many years ago. Join Naturalist Cindi on this 3.5-mile moderate trail. Poles and traction recommended if we have snow. Bring plenty of water and dress in layers.

Join Cool Science and DRC to learn about one of the earliest weapons of warfare by engineering your own solid wood mini-catapult. All materials will be provided. They will also provide plenty of marshmallow ammunition for you to test out before taking it home so you can continue customizing your project. Wild Whiskers

Join us for the 11th Annual *Wild Whiskers* on Saturday, March 30 at the Shining Mountain Golf Course in Woodland Park! This fancy shindig will begin with a cocktail hour at 5 pm where you can wet your whistle while you enjoy perusing the variety of items at the silent auction. Remember - ALL PROCEEDS benefit the pets at TCRAS!

A live guitar player will set the mood and the delicious dinner will be masterfully prepared by the chefs at the Swiss Chalet! After dinner, hear about some of the wonderful things that TCRAS has accomplished this year with YOUR help and support! Then we invite you to raise your paddle and help bring in money for our furry friends at the shelter! 

Then, the highlight of the night, the PUPPY PARADE! Enjoy the incredible cuteness of adoptable shelter pets and TCRAS alumni as they strut their stuff down the catwalk, er, dogwalk!

Wear your fanciest cowboy and cowgirl outfits and join us for a night of fun!
